Equipment required using membership cards

Self Checkin is a module in Udio. This module assists people to check in via a tablet rather than lining up at Reception. For a customer to use Self Checkin, their account must have a $0.00 balance.

Equipment

  •       iPad
  •       Power source
  •       Ethernet or wifi. If using Ethernet you require to purchase a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adaptor and USB Ethernet Adapter – both available from the Apple store (see images below)
  •       Secure surround, either Floor, wall or desk mounted

iPad Surrounds

There are many types of surrounds. Firstly, you need to work out the best place to place the unit, this might be on a wall, free standing or on the reception desk. You need to have access to power and an Ethernet port. You can use wifi but the reliability will depend on how from the modem the surround is.

     

Membership Cards

Membership cards needs to be a QR Code. The size that you want will depend on your business requirements and can have a photo or company logo on. If you are to have membership cards you must have the 2D recommended scanner as this will allow customers to still be checked in at the desk and this scanner will also scan 1D barcodes such as drinks, stock.

Assigning a Membership Card

Each customer that has a booking needs a membership card to check in. Go to the People page and click on ‘Manage Membership Cards’ under Member Details – Card ID. Click on ‘Add Membership Card’ either type the code or Scan. Click ‘Confirm’.
